Liz Leggett

13th to 27th July 2024

Liz Leggett made a series of works on paper that incorporates both painting and drawing.  Her approach values spontaneity, energy and an immediacy to a specific encounter. Forms are alluded to and extracted from various sources, from personal histories to current affairs. Liz describes each work as a situation that is a representation of our time. A situation that aims to enlighten as well as play with subjectivities, paradoxically aiming to keep it light as well as attaining a depth of feeling.

Liz is represented by The Camp Gallery, Miami, USA. Liz was formerly the Director of Exhibitions at Museum of Contemporary Art, Westport, Connecticut, currently Liz is the Studio Director of the acclaimed Japanese artist Mariko Mori. Lisa Kellner

7th to 21st June 2025

Lisa Kellner's work explores the relationships between human activity and place; manifesting itself in the experience of perception and reflections on the perception of experience. This sense of mirroring experience is realised in compositions that incorporate chance and expressive mark-making balanced with a minimalist approach that unfolds with passages of flat shapes that are inspired by the surroundings. Further information on Lisa's work can be found at lisakellner.com

Lisa quickly settled into a daily pattern during her residency, working everyday in the studio, starting around 8am and finishing around 6pm; and bracketing each day with early morning and evening walks in the Morvan that fed into her drawings and studio compositions. All works are acrylic and crayon on paper, various sizes.

Before moving to Deer Island in Maine Lisa lived and worked in New York for 20 years. Lisa is represented by four galleries, including, Art Space, New York @artspace, and Carver Hill Gallery, Maine @carver_hill_gallery
